Today is day two!
Despite the weather, our first day in the park was amazing!!
Rousing this morning we find the coldest weather we’ve had to endure in the van. At 10°F, it’s pretty chilly!
This evening we’re hiking to the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park!
After talking to the rangers, they explained this trail will take us directly up to this arch!
When hiking this 3 mile round trip hike, it is a modest elevation climb of 480 feet.
Arches National Park is home to over 2,000 natural stone arches, hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins, and balancing rocks!
It’s one of the most visited parks in the United States and there’s no wonder why it’s on our list of destinations.

This morning we’re packing in the campsite at Zion and hitting the road for Arches National Park!
It’s about a 340 mile, 5 1/2 hour drive!

The main reason we’re in Zion National Park is to hike The Narrows, one of the most popular hikes in the park. It’s pretty similar to the Wadi Mujib hike we did in Jordan.
The plan is to begin our hike from the Temple of Sinawava and hopefully make it all the way up to Big Springs and back. The employees at Zion Outfitters did not make it sound too promising… but they don’t know our perseverance!

We’re off to Zion!!
While it’s been nice living in luxury the past few days, it’s time to pack our stuff, leave Vegas, and hit the road toward Zion National Park.
