One of the first things we think of when we hear Maine is lobster!
Surprisingly, not many restaurants are serving full lobsters this time of year. Most lobster is caught and sold between May & September.
Lucky for us, located in Bar Harbor is a join called Geddy’s.
They serve lobster all year long, pull fresh from their lobster tank!
Acadia National Park is loaded with hiking trails. Today we’ll be hiking the Bubble Rock trail.
It’s just a little over a mile long loop to see the rock and get back to the van, so nothing too strenuous.
Ever wonder where you can view the first sunrise in the United States? Well, one location is right here in Acadia National Park!
Our plan is to wake up tomorrow around 4:00 am, so we can get to the top of Cadillac Mountain and watch the sun first break across the shores of the United States

We’re not in Oregon, we’re in Cape Elizabeth, Maine; at the Portland Head Light!
Even with all the technologies provided in ships, lighthouses still play an important role in their safety while travelling coastal waters.
When you hear about the Washington Monument, you probably think of the obelisk located in Washington DC.
While that monument is pretty remarkable, it’s actually not the first monument dedicated to George Washington.
Located in Middletown, Maryland, upon a hill lies the first Washington Monument built by the citizens of Boonsboro.
Today we get to explore the Crystal Grotto Caves! These caves contain some of the most dense and naturally kept formations in the world!
But first, we say goodbye to family as we continue our trip.
What’s more fun than the longest escalator in the western hemisphere!?!?
