There’s no better way to enjoy a sunset than in a kayak at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge.
Not only do you get to enjoy the sunset, you also get the opportunity to travel down the river after nightfall and see the comb jellies, as well as the plankton, light up with each stroke of the paddle.
What’s an all-American road trip without traveling to the southernmost city in the USA, Key West!!
There isn’t much on our agenda other than eating key lime pie and visiting the lowest point in the US. This should be a nice relaxing day!

Located within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary is the 3rd largest living coral reef in the world!
Today we’ve scheduled a two tank afternoon dive with Keys Diver & Snorkel tour! We initially planned to dive the Christ of the Abyss, but after talking to the dive shop decided to dive Molasses Reef.
Alligators!!! Crocodiles!!!! Tigers!!!! Oh my!!!!
Today we’re at Wooten’s Everglade Airboat Tours for quite an exciting adventure! We are excited to hop on an airboat and cruise the Everglades, anxiously searching for alligators.
Located in the lower portion of Florida lies a gem worth visiting. The #1 Beach in the USA: SIESTA BEACH!
It was too dark to see the beach last night when we got in, so we are back today to enjoy its beauty!
Driving through Florida, and passing near Tampa, we have to take the opportunity to cross the Sunshine Skyway Bridge!
Carrying around 50,500 vehicles daily, this bridge is considered the “flag bridge” of Florida. Also, the Travel Channel rated the Sunshine Skyway number 3 in its special on the “Top 10 Bridges” in the World!

The last time Kali visited her grandma down in Florida was over 10 years ago while she was in Technical School for the military.
We’re pretty excited for the opportunity to stop in and visit with Kali’s grandma and her Uncle David, who is also in the local area!
September 5th, 1945, The USS Alabama leads the entire American Fleet into Tokyo Bay upon the signing of the surrender documents, thus ending WWII.
It’s time for us to upmoor our anchor and take a journey back in time aboard the USS Alabama. ⚓
Had it not been for the Alabamians dream of this anchored attraction, the ship would have been scrapped for metal along with the rest of the BB-60 North Carolina Class fleet.
This morning we’re in Biloxi, Mississippi and ready to explore the home of Jefferson Davis!
Say what you will about the Confederacy or the motivations leading us into Civil War, but our nation was shaped by these events and ideas and they should never be forgotten.
Beauvoir is the home to the first and only president of the Confederate States, Jefferson Davis.

What is a drive through Louisiana without a stop in New Orleans?!?!
…It’s just a drive through Louisiana.
Our drive however, does involve a stop in this iconic city, and our adventure begins here…
Rating as the 2nd best museum in the world (in terms of overall quality), is the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana!
Today we’re going to hop on board the train (bear with us) and explore history!
With our new camera on it’s way to Kali’s Grandma’s house, we’re on our way to Louisiana.

We’re back from our cruise! and hanging out in San Antonio a little longer, waiting for our replacement camera to arrive.

Today we’re going to explore the famously known Alamo, as well as some of the other lesser known missions.
While we’re in texas, might as well take a cruise out of Galveston!!
Along with Tommy’s dad, Bill and his wife Dana, we’re ready for an adventure packed with numerous animal encounters, tons of food, and relaxation poolside on the ship!
