Just east of San Antonio, we’re visiting Tommy’s Dad, Bill, and his wife, Dana! Tommy’s brother, David, just happened to move down to Texas last year, so we are able to visit and catch up with him as well!

The Oklahoma City Bombing,
An act of domestic terrorism responsible for taking the lives of 168 people and wounding more than 680 others.
This evening we’re spending time at the site of the bombing, and the memorial which now stands in its place.
While deployed, we had numerous care packages sent to us, helping to support our operations. None are as special as the letters and packages received from Janet and her friends with Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Bentonville, Arkansas is one of the most charming towns we’ve ever visited and is home to both the Walmart Museum and it’s headquarters.

The largest Christ statue in North America!
Located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the Christ of the Ozarks statue was built in 1966 and stands 20 meters tall.

We’re excited today to visit one of the world’s best zoos.
Our visit will include a walk through the world’s largest indoor desert and the largest indoor rainforest on the continent.
The chance to explore 130 acres filled with animals from across the globe is a pretty enticing!
Rock me mamma like a wagon wheel 🎶… the largest wagon wheel in the world!! (Disclaimer: no wagon wheels here)
Built in 1978, this was once a popular gas station owned by its creator Kenneth Dahle .
The wagon lies on the Milford exit of the new interstate running through Nebraska and measures 50 feet high and 50 feet wide.
We’ve been driving for a while, but we’re determined to make it to our next stop before calling it a night.

This evening we have to book it over to Alliance, Nebraska for the chance to see a one of a kind roadside attraction!
During the recent eclipse, Carhenge saw over 4,000 visitors, including Nebraska’s own governor!
Chimney Rock is the most recognized landmark along the Oregon Trail. Travellers would rely on this rock to confirm their direction of travel is still correct.
What a relief it must have been for the travellers to know they were on the right course!!!
Scotts Bluff, Nebraska is a 19th-century landmark positioned on the Oregon and Mormon Trail.
The National Monument contains multiple bluffs located on the south side of the North Platte River.
For some states it’s a challenge to find something interesting to do… with both of us being fans of the TV series Hell On Wheels, visiting the Cheyenne Train Depot is interesting to us, regardless of the shows fictionality!
Who’s ready to ride an Alpine Coaster!?!?
Today, we’re at the longest Alpine (or mountain) coaster in North America.
We first experienced one of these while in Austria, and are stoked to experience one in America!
South Park fans might get a kick out of this one…
