The last of the 13 colonies to become a state.
Rhode Island covers an area of 1,214 square miles, making it the smallest state in the United States.

We have decided to visit what they call “The Heart of “Little Italy””, DePasquale Square.

Walking around DePasquale Square, you can’t miss the Italian influence on the area.

Throughout the 19th and early 20th century, it experienced several waves of Italian Immigrants.

We are very hungry, so we are looking for somewhere special to eat…. Most likely it will be Italian!

It’s a nice and sunny day out, so people are enjoying the sunshine and eating their lunches on the patios.

We walk just a little past the square and find this lovely restaurant called Andino’s.

They have special sangrias that we enjoyed with our meals as well.

After lunch, we pass by DePasquale Square one last time before heading on.

Our trip to Rhode Island may have been as short as the state is small, but it’s a very lovely area and we’re glad to be here!
