Located along the coast of Maine is the beautiful Acadia National Park.
We’re setting up camp and getting ready to explore a small section of this amazing coastline.
Setting up Camp
We’re staying in the Blackwoods Campground
Being the off-season, we get almost the entire grounds to ourselves!
After a quick breakfast
It’s time to check out some of the area! Starting with this footpath to the ocean!
Exploring the coast
It’s a short trail and we make it to the shore in no time!
The cool ocean waters and hard jagged rocks create a dramatic landscape!
We could just gaze for hours.
After soaking it in for a bit, we continue along the coast and the beauty doesn’t stop.
Out on a ledge, we find where bird bring back shells and enjoy a meal.
The colors and shapes of the shells are very interesting!
Kali’s loving her newly found hobby of shell collecting!
Further ahead, we find a path leading us down to the rock!
On The Rocks of The Shore
The glacier carved granite is mesmerizing!
Picking out some new kitchen countertops??
Shore life is everywhere…
Putting our ear to these tiny sea clams, we can hear the popping open and snapping shut!
The entire shore is alive with a crackle
Smaller communities enhabit water filled creavases
Acadia is truly a wonder of beauty
This little guy seems to think so too 😛
